Dream of Californication
I just began watching Californication. Tonight. And I love it.
This is like, the answer to Sex and the City that I’ve been waiting for. Lots of sex, broken relationships, ridiculous events, too many fake tits, etc. It’s wonderful – perfectly dark, has such a sexy edge, and it combines David Duchovny and Evan Handler (previously known to me as Charlotte’s Harry).
Duchovny’s character drinks too much and is slightly shady, but he’s a good guy at heart and seems to have solid morals – although I don’t see him really getting quite as much action as he does (and with kind of girls he gets it from). I definitely get Duchovny’s anti-hero appeal, but it isn’t something that hits you right off the bat. And it certainly isn’t something that ridiculously hot women in grocery stores are really going to jump at left and right. Now, I’m only done with the first disc of the first season (so don’t spoil anything for me), but I have to say that at the moment, this show has me more excited than September’s fashion week line up.

Oh thank you! I am a HUGE Duchovny fan and was wondering if this show was any good.
