If you are going to make a serious suede investment, I suggest you have the bottoms covered with a rubber pad, which will not only keep the toe of your shoes more protected (and it really does make a big difference – i didn’t get my black and white Miu Miu’s resoled and the patent in fraying at the toe tip), but it will also provide more cushion for the ball of your foot.
I also strongly believe in the suede protective sprays, but reapply every so often
