Auf Wiedersehen Project Runway, Season 5
I’ve never been that into Project Runway, but I have been watching this season and today saw the finale (a day late, I know).
I’m bummed that Jerell didn’t make it to the finale, but I guess there is really nothing to do about that. I am, however, very glad that Leanne won – her collection was absolutely beautiful, especially the first look (and even though she said the top steamed to nearly two sizes larger, I thought it looked perfect). I would love to wear any of it, although I must say that for as much crap as they (especially Nina Garcia) gave Kenley about her painted dress looking a little too ‘Balenciaga‘, Leanne’s whole collection definitely brought Valentino to my mind.
So die-hard Project Runway fans – what did you think of the finale? Did it live up to your expectations? Do you think Leanne deserved to win?

Leanne and Korto were my favorites. I was always impressed with Leanne’s point of view. I haven’t been able to watch because we don’t have cable so thanks for the post. I wouldn’t have even known it was over. I would totally wear that skirt… and its in Tiffany’s blue no less! Off to Bravo site to watch the shows…

Overall, I thought this season’s Project Runway was pretty disappointing, with the exception of Leanne. I understand Season 4 made me having almost unrealistic expectations from these designers, and I know S5′s designers had much less time to put on a show. However, I still think creativity was lacking from episode 1. I absolutely loved Leanne’s show, it was pretty, happy, clean and cohesive. Kenley had a few amazing pieces ( the wedding dress is absolutely adorable), but also a few disaster ones ( hallo?? what’s up with the fugly asian dress… and give me a break she doesn’t look at top designers’ stuff).
Anyways, I guess it’s hard to top Christian, Chris, Rami and Jillian, but Leanne comes close to it.

Leanne was my favorite for a long time, and deserved to win. This makes me feel like all is right in the world, especially since in seasons past my favorites did not win.
So now, has Project Runway been Auf’ed due to legal troubles, or will we ever get to enjoy new seasons??

apparently, she sells at a place in chelsea, on 18th/19th that i walked by the other day… hmm
