Now and Always, A Hunter…
I definitely love holiday shopping, but am so thankful to be finished – especially since finishing all my errands the last few days involved drudging around the city in snow, slush and freezing rain.
It’s certainly no big secret that the weather has been absolutely unforgiving lately and this weekend I made one of the best purchases I probably have all year - I bought a pair of black Hunter Wellies.
Not only are they completely waterproof (and have been seen on Kate Moss countless times), but you can also buy fleece welly socks to keep your toes nice and toasty in the chilly winter months – I bought the socks in navy. I wore mine out all day today and have to say that I feel foolish for not buying a pair earlier – these boots are quite comfortable, have amazing traction, fit my leg fairly well, and aren’t nearly as heavy as I usually find rain boots to be. I also think they are quite chic.
Anyway, I highly recommend that you buy yourself a pair and then, if you happen to have a good job, buy a pair for your best girlfriends.
Hunter Original Wellington – about $115
Fleece Welly Socks – around $30
P.S. The difference between the Original and the Huntress is the height of the boot and the calf width. The Huntress is shorter (to prevent the rear of the knee pinching) and the calf has a slightly more generous cut to eliminate any tightness.
