Augusten Burroughs – Anything but Dry
Just wanted to say that I haven’t really read a book in a long time and after picking up Augusten Burroughs’ memoir, Dry, I don’t know why I ever stopped.
I’m absolutely loving this book and would suggest it to anyone, except perhaps my wife since she doesn’t drink and wouldn’t really be able to relate to this…but then again, who knows. Perhaps I’ll write more about it once I finish, but don’t hold your breath. Just go buy the book – or any book for that case. Just read something again beyond the ‘where to buy’ credits of ELLE or British Vogue.
I read Running with Scissors and Sellevision, but am enjoying Dry the most so far…

Been looking for a new book. But might as well start with Running with Scissors, right? Will give that a shot….on my new Kindle2!!!

Yeah, you should definitely read Running with Scissors before Dry.
How do you like the kindle2? I see people with them riding the subway every now and then and have mixed feelings…

I love it. While at lunch on a bench in the park, I browsed for books via the wireless Kindle store, just as if I were perusing books at the bookstore, getting to read a few pages of any of them. Now I’ll go ahead and by RwS, and have it in 60 seconds, and not kill any trees in the process. As promised, the device really gets out of the way and just lets you read. I’m hooked.
