Mr Darcy, Even Better Looking Than Before…
It may true be that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife, but it may also be true that a good woman with a pension for the classics, is in want of book covers that mirror the quality of the words inside.
I’ve long been a fan of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice (the book as well as the A&E version), but my love for it has just been rekindled with the release of Ruben Toledo‘s couture-inspired book cover. Gorgeously drawn with oil, watercolor and pencil, the cover instantly modernizes the beloved classic, making it even more desirable than before.
Toledo has also created killer covers for the, in my opinion, less enjoyable reads of The Scarlet Letter and Wuthering Heights. Buy them all here for $16 a pop.
