The moment this Prada collection hit the runway, I died in that Rachel Zoe sort of way. Haven’t decided quite which piece to splurge on yet, but I’m really in love with the more crazy sandals. Hot rod inspired heels? Could you think of a better way to inspire faster healing in my damn knee?

A gift to myself for finally buying something to go on the wall behind our couch (an atypical Marimekko print): Proenza Schouler tasseled sandals. They are all black (which I needed), have a sexy arch and stacked heel, are really comfortable, and were on a sick sale at Barneys (yay!). I love them and plan on wearing them until they look as tired as all of the rest of my poor heels.

Back in my own private sea of shoes, my new silver bowed Miu Miu pumps are already fitting in swimmingly along with others from Prada, Valentino, Roger Vivier, Moschino, Miu Miu and Phi. Sea them up there? How about down below…

They are from Fall 2010 and I have loved them since the runway show nearly 1 year ago. I spotted them at Zoe in Dumbo this past weekend for 70% off and had to splurge! From nearly $700 down to $206, how could I resist? I couldn’t. I love the silver toe cap, the silver bow most of all, the fact that there is also a black fabric bow above the silver one (two bows, of my!), the material, and the architecturally interesting and sound heel.

And since I was taking glamour shots of my shoes on my new Ikea sheepskin ruglette, why not post one of the fancy ones too?

Valentino, Oscar de la Renta, Barbara Bui, silk, gold feathers, ostrich plums, suede leaves, beading, and bling. God I love shoes. More than the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (um, see below) – and that’s saying a lot.

About a year ago, I bought the perfect nude patent pumps from Aldo. They had a nice high heel and a great coloring to them – not a pasty nude, but one painted with a thin veil of mocha. I’m sure they were modeled after a Brian Atwood pair, but whatever. Whenever I would wear them my legs looked longer, more toned, and even a bit more tan. For a while I wore them almost every day.

They are the type of shoe that everyone asked about and was shocked to hear that I bought them at Aldo and for around $80. Well, after a really fun night out and waaay too much dancing, my shoes were pretty much destroyed. Destroyed not beyond repair, but there is a significant amount of repair work that needs to be done, which will probably cost more than the shoes themselves.

I wore them out yesterday (despite the fact that one side is worn down to the metal post) and I was reminded of just how much I really enjoy the look and how perfect they are for the summer. Browsing online today I’ve found quite a few possible replacements and even found that a pair nearly identical to my old one that still exists on Aldo’s website…see below for my finds although right now, I’m crushing on the pair pictured above by Guiseppe Zanotti.
