Falling (once more) for Bottega Veneta

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008

bottega_veneta_fall08

Bottega Veneta, you’ll never know quite how much I love you. The head-to-toe color, the ridiculously feminine and chic silhouettes - and did you look at the lady gloves! I even love the messy up-dos. *sigh* it’s pure poetry really…

Kiss of Death or Black Beauty?

Sunday, October 5th, 2008

YSL’s black lips certainly made a statement on the fall runways… and although I’m not sure it is a statement that should ever be made in real life, the people at Lancôme don’t feel the same that I do.

Introducing the Color Fever Gloss in Piha Black. It looks great in the bottle, but on actual lips in the subway, out on the streets, in bars or bakeries?

Would you actually wear Lancôme's Fever Gloss in Piha Black?

Trend Alert? Running, Smudged Mascara

Monday, August 18th, 2008

Running, smudged mascara seems to be the biggest thing right now.
So who’s responsible for this?

1. Lauren Conrad. MTV has been playing specials on The Hills all weekend and I’ve been forced to watched poor LC crying her eyes out while talking to Audrina over and over again. I knew Lauren wore a lot of eye makeup, but wow. Good thing she’s now the spokesperson for mark. (new cosmetics line by Avon)

Duffy looking gorgeous with running mascara2. Duffy. I love LOVE her video for Warwick Avenue because it it reminds me of Radiohead’s No Surprises and because the girl just looks so beautiful when she cries and mascara is smudged below those pretty eyes.

3. Sad, pretty girls in general. They’re simply irresistible.

4. Those damn vibrating mascara wands

Fall into the GAP

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

So my last bag purchase was from the GAP and I sort of love it - although I didn’t at first. The thing is, I’ve always hated plain black bags and yet they’re just something every girl needs.

Anyway, I found this leather satchel at the GAP and bought it simply because I needed a black bag (although I definitely liked the lighter gray one better), it was only $150, its not too big, not too small, and has just the right amount of pockets inside. I’ve also gotten a bunch of compliments on it, which I would have never expect. It actually has a slightly understated rocker vibe…

Just saying that the next time you walk by the GAP, stop in. You never know. Shop all GAP bags here.
